SMITHFIELD -- Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stingle Sr. will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Nov. 22. They were united in marriage at the Smithfield Presbyterian Church Nov. 22, 1947.
Stingle is retired from the Norfolk & Western Railroad Co.
They have five children, Fred (Leslie) of Smithfield, Sharon of Smithfield, Chuck of Smithfield, Sandy (Greg) of Adena and Sonya (Jim) of St. Clairsville. They have 14 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
An open house celebration will be held in their honor on Sunday, Nov. 18 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Friendship Park Fairgrounds in Smithfield.
