HARRISVILLE -- Thomas C. and Jean Shields celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary June 3.
They were united in marriage June 3, 1967 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clairsville.
Shields is the son of the late George and Charlotte Shields. He is the president of Red Hill Distribution in Cadiz. His wife, Jean Yudasz Shields, is the daughter of the late John and Mary Yudasz. She has been a homemaker in addition to an active volunteer for the community including Polish National Alliance, Catholic Women's Club and the Harrisville Auxiliary.
They are parents of two children, Thomas C. and his wife, Pam of St. Clairsville and Tammie of Harrisville. They have three grandchildren, Madalyn, Gavin and Benjamin.
The couple celebrated their anniversary with their children.
