ST. CLAIRSVILLE -- Joseph E. and Joanne L. Costain celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary Dec. 20. They were united in marriage Dec. 20, 1952 at the Colerain Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robert Reed officiating at the ceremony.
Costain is the son of the late J. Edric and Hazel Costain, formerly of Mt. Pleasant and is a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer (aviation), a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars, also retired from the Greenwood Cemetery Association of Wheeling.
His wife, the former Joanne Roscoe of Barton, is a homemaker. She is the daughter of the late Ludwig and Wilma Roscoe.
They are parents of three children, sons Joseph E. III and his wife Ellen of Hacketstown, N.J., Jerry L. and his wife Cherri of Ligonier, Pa., daughter Jacquelyn L. Greenwood of St. Clairsville. They also have five grandchildren, Brian and Kyle Costain, Douglas Costain, Caleb and Cara Greenwood.
A family dinner is planned in their honor at the Farm Restaurant in January.
