WHEELING -- Joseph G. and Kathleen M. "Teddy'' Bodnar celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 8. They were united in marriage Feb. 8, 1958 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Wheeling, by Father Robert Lee.
Bodnar is the son of the late Steve and Martha Bodnar. His wife, Teddy, is the daughter of the late Theodore and Marie Russell of Wheeling.
They are parents of three daughters, Kathy and her husband Ralph Barries of Martins Ferry; Kelley and her husband Dennis Berton of Cannonsburg, Pa.; and Kristine and her husband Dr. Joe Grubler of Wheeling. They have six grandchildren: Joshua Withers, Megan and Bailey Barries and Aidan, Ava and Addison Grubler.
The Bodnars celebrated on Feb. 9 at 4:30 p.m. Mass held in their honor at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Wheeling followed by dinner.
