MARTINS FERRY -- Ethel and Joe (Fatty) Joseph will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on May 14. They were united in marriage by Monsignor Joseph Kiefer at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Bridgeport.
Joseph is the son of the late Katherine and Tony Joseph. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in European Theater and retired from the C.E.T.A. program. His wife, Ethel, is the daughter of the late Rose and Gabriel Nagy. She is a retired cashier from the A & P Tea Company and an active member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Martins Ferry.
Joe and Ethel operated Joseph's Bar and Lounge located in Martins Ferry.
They are the parents of two sons, Kenneth, a retired English teacher of Martins Ferry and David, a retired teacher, coach and business man of Steubenville. They have one granddaughter, Pria (Mike) Myers of St. Clairsville and two great-grandchildren, Shelby and Mason Myers and two adopted grandsons, Josh (Debbie) Lucas and Ryan (Bethany) Lucas, both of Bridgeport.
