Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Evonek are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today, June 29. They were united in marriage June 29, 1968 at the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Bellaire.
Evonek is the son of the late Michael and Josephine Evonek. His wife Yolonda is the daughter of Jennie Nester of Saint Clairsville, and the late Michael Nester.
Evonek is employed by Ormet, Hannibal, and his wife Yolonda is retired from Macey’s of Saint Clairsville.
They are the parents of Robert M. (Stefanie) Evonek of Bellaire, the late Michael A. Evonek and Lori (Jerry) Orr of St. Clairsville. They have six grandchildren: Sarah Kline and Allyson Evonek of Bellaire; and Blake, David, Casara, and Samantha Orr of St. Clairsville.
A family celebration will be planned for a later date.
