MARTINS FERRY -- Keith and Carolyn Sommer of Martins Ferry are celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary today. They were united in marriage, June 8, 1963 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Dayton, Ohio by the Rev. James L. Kennell.
Sommer is the son of the late Karl, Sr. and Carrie McDermott Sommer. He is an attorney with the law firm of, Sommer, Liberati, Musser and Hawrot of Martins Ferry and Wheeling. His wife, Carol, is the daughter of Dolores Rauch of Dayton and the late Frank Rauch.
They are the parents of three daughters, Christine (Jeff) Furbee of Columbus, Michele (Jonathan) of Mahwah, N.J. and Julie Sommer of Seattle, Wash. They have three grandchildren, Jackson Sommer, Calvin Sommer and Carrie Sommer Furbee.
