Ted and Annita McCort are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today, July 13. They were united in marriage at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lafferty, with the late Rev. P. Cafferelli officiating.
McCort is the son of Doris McCort of Lloydsville and the late Ted “Red” McCort, Jr. He is retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation. His wife, Annita, is the daughter of the late Maria and Sylvester “Slatts” Melchiori of Lafferty.
The couple have three children: Eric McCort and his wife, Julie, of Jonesboro, Georgia; Rene Warner of Bethesda, and Crystal Twarog and her husband, Ryan, of Flushing. They have five grandchildren: Hunter and Damien of Jonesboro; Brooke and Devon of Bethesda and Baby Twarog of Flushing, due in October.
They will celebrate their anniversary with family.
