Gerald and Christine Withrow of Bethesda are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today, July 6. They were united in marriage in the Bethesda United Methodist Church, with the late Rev. Francis E. Smith officiating on July 6, 1968.
Withrow is the son of the late Henry and Ann Withrow of Bethesda. He is employed by Andrew Maxx, Inc. in Westerville. His wife Christine is the daughter of Donald and the late Nancy Anderson of Bethesda. She is employed by Morristown Family Practice.
The couple has four children: Kimberly (John) Sulek of Barberton, Ohio; Bryan (Karen) Withrow of Chicago, Ill; Amanda (Joshua) Nagy of Belmont; and Meghan Withrow of Columbus. Grandchildren include Ethan, Rachel, Justin and Adam.
The couple celebrated on June 28 with a surprise party, given by their children, at The Farm Restaurant, with entertainment by Mystery Theatre Unlimited.
