MARTINS FERRY – Mr. and Mrs. William R. Hanson are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, Aug. 10. They were married at the Friendship Lutheran Church by Rev. Ralph Larson, Pittsburgh, Pa.
Hanson is the son of the late Mildred Hanson. He is retired from the Yorkville Mill. His wife, Carol, is the daughter of the late Irvin and Lucille Greiner of Bridgeport.
They are parents of three sons, Scott and his wife, Lorrie, of Martins Ferry, Todd and his wife, Lisa, of Virginia Beach and one son, Chad, deceased.
They have five grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah, Jeremy, Jared and Cassie Hanson.
A family party will be held at DJ’s Restaurant in Weirton.
