Chester and Lucy Wnek of Tiltonsville celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, July 31. They were united in marriage in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Tiltonsville, on July 31, 1948.
Wnek is thes on of the late John and Eugenia Wnek. He is an Army veteran of World War II and is retired from Byrum Contractors where he was part owner. His wife, the former Lucy Azzi, is the daughter of the late Enrico and Quintina Baiocco Azzi and the late Mary Azzi.
They have three children: Dr. Edward Wnek and his wife, Linda, Dr. Gregg and his wife, Theresa, and Brian and his wife, Kyle. They have six grandchildren, Nathaniel, Ashley, Anna, Gregory, Blake and Zachary.
The couple celebrated with a surprise party given by their children and grandchildren.
