BELLAIRE – Jerry and Joan Helms of Key-Bellaire Road, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, Sept. 12. They were united in marriage at the Bellaire Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Roland Showalter officiating.
Helms, son of the late Lloyd and Florence Helms is retired from Consol No. 4 mine in Clarington. His wife, Joan, daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy Coyne is a former employee of Stone & Thomas, Wheeling and Bellaire City Schools.
They are parents of three sons, Jerry (Cheryl) and Jeff of Florida and John (Dolly) of Ohio. They have four grandchildren, Kylene (Jimmy) Falkenberg and Jared Helms of Florida and Josh and Lindsay Helms of Ohio; one great-grandchild, Kaidynce Falkenberg of Florida.
The couple was honored with a small party with family and friends.
