Henry and Frances Saunders celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, Sept. 2. They were married in Warnock by the bride’s grandfather, the Rev. Joseph Norris.
Saunders is retired from Doan Ford and from the Union Local School District. His wife, Frances, has been a full-time homemaker. They are active in the Belmont Ridge Christian Church, the Smith Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Centerville Senior Center.
They are parents of four daughters: Doris, deceased; Patty (John) Phillips, Diana (Barry) Wagner, Sherry (Jay R.) Sigler. They have six grandchildren: John (Annie) Phillips, Sarah (Brian) Martin, April (D.J.) Usenick, Ryan Kutcher, Mitch and Mason Friede and three great-grandchildren: Dylan and Kelsy Usenick and McKayla Martin. Family additions include, Derek, Shannon and Tenialla Wagner and Andy and Cade Sigler.
In honor of the couple a family dinner was held at Undo’s.
