Virgil and Charleen Markovich of St. Clairsville, are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today, Oct. 19. They were united in marriage, Oct. 19, 1968 at St. Mary’s Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. George E. Goodbout officiating.
Markovich, son of Mary Markovich and the late Ted Markovich of Blaine, is employed at Park Health Center as the maintenance superintendent. His wife, Charleen, daughter of the late Robert Finney and Margaret Mary Finney Dorsey of Martins Ferry, is the beautician at Beacon House.
They are the parents of three children: Cammie and her husband, Michael, Simmons of Norwalk, Ohio, Chad and his wife, Tasha, of North Royalton, Ohio and Chip of Indianapolis, Ind. They have three granddaughters: Brittany, Ashley and Samantha Simmons.
Their children hosted a surprise family dinner, at the Knights of Columbus hall in St. Clairsville.
