RAYLAND – Myron and Blanche O’Connell of Rayland, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 9. They were united in marriage, Oct. 9, 1948 at the Dillonvale Methodist Church with the Rev. R. E. Swinehart officiating.
O’Connell is the son of the late William and Audrey (Frye) O’Connell of Rayland, and is a WWII veteran and a retired employee of Conrail. His wife, Blanche, daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Burkhead) Schrickel of Dillonvale, is a retired head cook of the Buckeye Local School District.
They are the parents of Mrs. Vince (Dorothy) Olenick of Dillonvale and Mrs. Mike (Patty) McConn of Clarington. They are the grandparents of Tricia Kuczmarski, Raeanne Olenick and Michelle and Heidi McConn; two great-grandchildren complete the family, Ayden and Harmanee Blattler.
The family will celebrate with a dinner at Mehlman’s Cafeteria.
