Albright: 65th wedding anniversary

SHADYSIDE – David and Elsa Albright of Shadyside celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Oct. 1. They were married Oct. 1, 1949 at the Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church in Shadyside by the late William G. Miller.

Albright is the son of the late Paul and Virginia Albright of Shadyside. He was a dairy/beef farmer, a school bus driver and a retired Mead Township clerk/treasurer.

His wife, the former Elsa Leasure, is the daughter of the late Leroy and Martha Leasure of Shadyside. She was employed at the former Half Dollar Savings Bank in Wheeling and is now a homemaker.

The couple has three children: Deborah (Robert, M.D.) Exten of Mansfield, Ohio; David Albright Jr. of Shadyside; and Diane (Charles) Kulazenka of Jacobsburg; 10 grandchildren: Jennifer (Ryan) Kennedy of Akron, Ohio; Dr. Emily (Jonathan, M.D.) Skarie of Madison, Wisc.; Sarah (Jeffrey) Mussman of Bellville, Ohio; Katherine Exten, M.D. of Chicago, Ill.; Molly Exten of Boston, Mass.; Kellie (Kenneth) Melanko of Shadyside; Brandy (Michael) Metz of Bethlehem; Jason (Megan) Albright of Shadyside; Lauren Kulazenka of Columbus, Ohio; and Charlie Kulazenka of Jacobsburg. Great-grandchildren David, Elizabeth and Andrew Kennedy; Bobby Mussman; Gwen Louise Skarie; Addasyn and Karter Melanko; and Aylah and Maddin Albright complete the family.

The couple celebrated with a trip to the Inn at Honey Run in Amish Country.
