WOODSFIELD – Dale and Susan English of Woodsfield are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, Oct. 26. They were united in marriage on Oct. 26, 1964 at the United Methodist Church of St. Mary’s, W.Va., by the Rev. A. T. Stewart.

English is the son of the late Kenneth and Clara English and is a retired bus mechanic from Switzerland of Ohio School District. His wife, Susan, is the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Hackley, and is a retired teacher from Monroe County Board of Developmental Disabilities.

They are the parents of two children, Tammy Cox and her husband, Brent, of Shadyside and Dale English II and his wife, Angela, of Stow; five grandchildren: Kelsey, Kayla, Kylie, Ciara and Trey and one great-granddaughter, Kestrel, complete the family.

An anniversary celebration was held in their honor yesterday by their children.
