ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Barbara Sidiropolis Marshall and Ronald Marshall celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 27. They were united in marriage on June 27, 1964 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Benwood. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, George T. Sidiropolis.

Marshall is the son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Marshall of Benwood and is retired from Bayer Corporation. His wife, Barb, is the daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine Sidiropolis and is a homemaker.

They are the parents of a daughter, Joanna Marshall (Brian) Hockenberger and son, Anthony, deceased.

A surprise party was held at the Belmont Hills Country Club on June 14, given by their daughter and her husband, Brian Hockenberger. In attendance were their best man, Charles Marshall and his wife, Rebecca, and their matron of honor, Sarah Porter and her husband, Dr. Charles Porter, along with many close friends and relatives.
