MARTINS FERRY – Donald and Eileen Griffiths are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today, March 19. They were united in marriage March 19, 1955, at Sacred Heart Church in Wheeling.

Griffiths retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Martins Ferry Plant. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Korean War.

His wife, Eileen, was a stay at home mother raising their three daughters: Cathy (Bill) Burgess, Donna (Rodney) Mayberry and Lori (Eric) Campsey.

They have six grandchildren: Annie (Sean) Freese, Ryan, Clayton, Kaylyn Mayberry, Haley and Owen Campsey; and one great-granddaughter, Kylee Freese.

They were honored with a family dinner.
