Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Koch
On June 19, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Koch of St. Clairsville, Ohio, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a renewal of their vows in the Formal Gardens of Oglebay Park. The Rev. Richard Skaggs of St. Matthews Episcopal Church, Wheeling, officiated.
In attendance were their nieces Wendy Thompson Crick of Mount Juliet, Tenn., and Lori Thompson Waters of New Braunfels, Texas.
Jeffrey and Myra were married on June 19, 1965, in the Formal Gardens of Oglebay with the late Dr. Russell Gilmore of the First Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville officiating, and the attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Thompson III.
Jeffrey is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Thomson Jr. and is a graduate of Bethany College with his BS degree in chemistry and a graduate of Purdue University with his MS degree in chemistry. He is retired from Buckeye North High School, Brilliant, Ohio, where he taught chemistry, physics and physical science.
Myra is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gylvan E. Deal Sr., and is a graduate of West Liberty State College with her BA degree in education and a graduate of West Virginia University with her MA degree in library science. She is retired from Barnesville High School as a librarian. Since retiring 25 years ago, they have completed visits to all 50 of the United States. They have also traveled through several Canadian provinces, the British Isles and Europe.
In celebration, a dinner was held at Outback Steakhouse in St. Clairsville.
