50th wedding anniversary

John and Myrtle Clymer, of Barnesville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 4.

They were married Sept. 4, 1965, at La Chapelle St. Mesmin, in Orleans, France, where John was serving in the U.S. Army.

Clymer retired in 2002 from Belmont Technical College as vice president of Administrative Services. His wife is a homemaker.

They have two sons: Eric (Melissa) of Gallatin, Tenn., and Brian (Amy) of Centerville, Ohio. Five grandchildren complete the family: Wesley, Audrey, Timothy, Ava and Natalie.

The couple celebrated with a cruise around South America, going around Cape Horn and then a cruise to Alaska to mark their milestone.

50th wedding anniversary

John and Louise Satory, from Independence, Ohio, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were united in marriage May 8, 1965, by Fr. Adam Stromski at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clairsville.

Louise is the former Louise Yudasz. They have three children: John (Wendy) Satory from Cleveland, David (Lisa) Satory from Cumming, Ga., and Scott (Colleen) Satory from Atlanta. They have five grandchildren: Joshua, Adam, Andrew, Anna and Audrey.

A celebration was held with family and friends.
