Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Bassa Sr. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 29. Bassa and his wife, the former Ksavera Goletz, were united in marriage in 1965 at Our Lady of Angels Church in Barton.

Robert is employed by the Appraisal Research Corp.

They are the parents of Jack (Kimberly) Dagan, Robert (Debra) Bassa Jr., Melanie Bassa, and Kala Bassa, all of St. Clairsville. They have four grandchildren: Logan and Austin Bassa and Madison and Ian Dagan.

A surprise celebration for family and friends was held at the Stifel Fine Arts Center in Wheeling on May 17.
