Gene and Alberta Cross, long-time residents of Bellaire now residing in St. Clairsville, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Dec. 3. They were united in marriage in Wheeling on Dec. 3, 1955.

Gene, a retired school teacher and coach, is the son of the late Raymond and Mary Cross. Alberta is the daughter of the late Faustine Oldfield of St. Marys, W.Va. She is retired from the Belmont County Juvenile Court, and works part time at Victoria’s Secret.

They are the parents of two children: Roberta (Joe) Witsberger of Maynard, and Kirk (Lisa) Cross of Tiltonsville. They have five grandchildren: Rachel (Tony) Long, Lisa (Justin) Wigley, Laura (Jason) Richmond, Brittany (David) Marconi and Joey Orizczak. They also have three great grandchildren: Braylon, Hudson and Mallory Marconi. The couple was honored with a family dinner.
