Sanford (Chub) and Ella June Church Sr. of St. Clairsville will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on May 21.

They were united in marriage on May 21, 1946, in Bridgeport. Chub is a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and served on the battleship USS Iowa. He is a retired electrician from Olin Chemical of Moundsville.

June is a homemaker. They are the parents of June Slupka (John) of Arizona, the late Sandy McAfee of Shadyside, Kathy Webster of Dillonvale and Sanford Church Jr. (Betty) of St. Clairsville. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

The couple will celebrate at Undo’s in St. Clairsville with family.
