Bob and Janice Kovack of Shadyside celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 18. They were united in marriage on June 18, 1966, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shadyside with the Rev. Peter V. Sartori officiating.

Bob is retired from the Navistar Corp. and the Martins Ferry Public Library System. He currently works part-time for the Belmont County Senior Services. Janice is a homemaker.

They are the parents of three children, Sue (John) of Shadyside, Lori (Mark) of Hilliard, and Greg (Joanne) of Ashville. They have six grandchildren, Nick, Sophia and Gianna Ferrelli, Kyle and Nate Porter and Kinley Kovack.

They are celebrating with a trip to New England and a family vacation to Nemacolin.
