70th wedding anniversary
Hunter Biddle and Betty Ann Brown of St. Clairsville are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary today, July 3.
The Browns were united in marriage July 3, 1946, at the First Presbyterian Church, St. Clairsville.
Betty is the daughter of the late Howard and Bertha Fritter Howell of Flushing. She was employed by Ohio Bell Telephone Co. and is a homemaker. Biddle is the son of the late Hunter and Catherine Biddle Brown of St. Clairsville. He is retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Co. and Oglebay Park.
The couple enjoys gardening and spending time with their family. They have four children. The family includes Joyce Zambito and her husband, Michael, of Wheeling; Patricia Ranttila and her husband, Jack, of Hoffman Estates, Ill.; Roger and his wife, Vickie of Middleboro, Mass.; and Amy Hiner and her husband, Matthew, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The Browns have nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
They will celebrate with a family gathering.
