John and Diana Frollini of Lafferty celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 27. They were united in marriage on Aug. 27, 1966, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lafferty.

John retired from Oxford Mining. Diana retired from Belmont Correctional Institute.

The couple has two daughters and two sons-in-law, Colleen and Justin DeMarchi of Belmont, and Stacey and Aaron Markham of Roanoke, Va., as well as two grandchildren, Celia and Vincent DeMarchi of Belmont. The couple was honored by their family with a surprise celebration on Saturday.
