Stephen and Kathleen Gazdik of Barton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 20. They were united in marriage at St. Casimir’s Church in Adena on Aug. 20, 1966, with the late Rev. Edward Kakasick. Kathy is the daughter of the late Paul and Kay Gunsorek of Adena, and Stephen is the son of the late Steve and Anna Gazdik of Bridgeport.

Stephen is retired from Consol Coal Co. in Georgetown and Kathy is retired owner/operator of Klean Sweep Cleaning Co. in St. Clairsville. They are the parents of two sons, Joe (Desiree) Gazdik of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Jeff (Cara) of Gazdik of Barton. They have three grandchildren, Alex, Andrew and Emma. They celebrated with a mass and reception with family and friends on Aug. 6.
