Bill and Helen Milan will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 29. They were united in marriage Sept. 29, 1956, at Our Lady of Angels Church in Barton with Father Adam Stromski officiating.

Milan, son of the late Fred and Iva Milan, is a former employee of Ohio Ferro Alloys, Brilliant, and retired from Saginaw Mining Co. His wife Helen is the daughter of the late Alex and Julia Smithoffer and is a retired legal secretary.

They are the parents of two children: Lisa Burns of Martins Ferry and Bill Milan Jr. of Barton. They have two grandchildren: Hyacin Ray and Billy Milan III. The couple will celebrate with their children and grandchildren.
