MR. & MRS. ROBERT D. WEAVER

Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Weaver will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on April 1, 2017. Bob and Jane were married April 1, 1967, in Martins Ferry at Grace United Presbyterian Church. The marital ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Jack Winnett and Pastor Millard Gessner. Their best man was Gene Schnegg and maid of honor was Diana Weaver Benline.

Bob continues to operate his barber shop on National Road in Brookside. Jane retired from United Bank in 2013 with 35 years in banking.

They have two children, a son, David Weaver of Bridgeport, and a daughter, Dr. Denise Stitt and her husband Christopher Stitt of Burke, Va. They have three grandchildren, Austin Weaver and Adam and Emily Stitt.

Their children are hosting a party for them at 3 p.m. April 1 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Brookside.
