John and Nancy Wilhelm of Bellaire celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on March 4. They wed on March 4, 1972, at the First Christian Church on 20th Street in Wheeling.

John is the son of the late Kenneth and Elizabeth (Jack) Wilhelm. He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Plant 3 in Steubenville and the Mingo Junction plant as a millwright for 39 and a half years.

Nancy is the daughter of Elizabeth Nice of Wheeling and the late John A. Nice. She retired as a daycare worker.

They are the parents of four children: Jacqueline (Jason) Berisford of Moundsville, Tennille (Steve) Singleton of Bellaire; John Jr. (Carnie) Wilhelm of Bellaire and Travis (Karrie) Wilhelm of Columbus.

Their grandchildren include: Luc and Dallas Messenger and Cooper Singleton of Bellaire, Tori and Tristan Berisford of Moundsville, Nate and Isaiah and Lex Wilhelm of Bellaire.

The couple plans to take a short vacation at a later date.
