Walter and Pauline Morehead celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on May 19.

Both are retired: Pauline from Buckeye Local Schools as a bus driver, and Walter from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., Yorkville, from Buckeye Local as a bus driver, and from 29 years of service in the U.S. Army.

The couple graduated from Mount Pleasant High School.

They are the parents of Dan (Brenda) Morehead of Mount Carmel, Ill., Darcy (Bill) Sanderson of Toronto and Doug (Janice) Morehead of Jackson, Wy.

They have eight grandchildren: Derek (Lorie) Morehead of Newcomerstown, Ohio; Dustin (Cole) Morehead of Jackson, Wy.; Danelle Just of Harrisville, Pa.; Jason Just of Woodsfield; Daniel (Stephanie) Morehead-Haukstadt of Indiana; Amanda (Chris) Kujawa of Pittsburgh; Zachary (Missy) Morehead of Deerfield, Ohio; Saudi (Nathan) Pettigrew of Deerfield; Colb (Mahena) Morehead of Bishop, Calif.

They also have 15 great grandchildren: Michael and Maria of Pueblo, Colo.; Merada, who is serving in the U.S. Air Force; Walker and Kalyn Just; Makenzie and Mason Morehead; Braxton Kujawa; Shelby and Halle Morehead; Ayden, Reagan and Colston Pettigrew; and Wylder and Bodee Morehead.
