Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cullen Shields celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 3.

Tom and Jean were united in marriage on June 3, 1967, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clairsville, with Father Gregory J. Palma officiating.

Thomas is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Shields Sr. of Harrisville. Jean is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Yudasz of Crescent Road, St. Clairsville.

Tom and Jean are the parents of two children: son Tom (Pam) Shields of St. Clairsville, and daughter Tammie Becker of Harrisville. They have three grandchildren: Madalyn Becker, Gavin Shields and Benjamin Shields.

Tom is employed at Red Hill Distribution. They attend St. Casimir Catholic Church, Adena. Jean is a retired LPN and a homemaker, in addition to being active in the community. They enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.
