70th wedding

anniversary

Charles “Glenn” and Betty Irene Lee of Bethesda will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on Aug. 30.

Charles is the son of the late Carlos and Lucille Lee of Morristown. He is retired from the State Department of Transportation and Consol Coal.

Betty is the daughter of the late Clyde and Freda Bailey of Bethesda, and is a lifelong homemaker.

They have five children: William (Nancy) Lee of Marietta, Ohio; Nancy (David) Detling of Barnesville; David Lee of Bethesda; John (Jerrilyn) Lee of Jacobsburg; and Beth (Mark) Welch of Matthews, N.C.

They have seven grandchildren: Douglas Detling, Kelli Wehr, Amber Sikora, Alex Lee, Katherine Lee, Heather Welch and Sarah Welch. They also have three great-grandchildren: Ryland Wehr, Landyn Wehr and Ashlan Sikora.

The occasion will be celebrated with a family gathering.
