60th wedding

anniversary

Rolie and Shelva Woods celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 7. They were united in marriage at the McMechen Methodist Church by the late Rev. Lowery on Sept. 7, 1957.

Rolie is the son of the late Wallace and Edith Woods of Farmington. He is retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville. Shelva is retired from Kmart and is the daughter of the late Clarence and Elsie Cecil of McMechen.

They are the parents of four daughters: Tammy Myers, Beth Bickerstaff, Allison Craig and Stacey Bliss. Eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren complete the family. A family dinner was held on Labor Day to honor the couple.
