anniversary

Janet (Jacomet) North and Henry Jones were united in marriage on May 18, 1968, at First United Methodist Church by Pastor Theron Smith.

North is the daughter of the late Irene and Robert Jacomet of Troy, Ohio. She was graduated from Troy High School. Jones is the son of the late John Sr. and Sally Jones of Piqua, Ohio. He was graduated from Houston High School.

Although the couple did not have children of their own, they do have four: Kim North, Cindy (North) Novak, Kimberly (Jones) Redman and Matthew Jones. They also have 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The couple will celebrate their golden anniversary on June 9 with a party at Duke Park in Troy from 1-4 p.m. Family and friends are invited.
