50th wedding

anniversary

Ron and Jo Lucas are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were united in marriage on June 22, 1968, by Monsignor Robert H. Punke at St. Joseph’s Church in Tiltonsville.

Ron, son of the late Clyde and Doris Lucas of Colerain, worked as a machinist at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. He also is a United States Navy Vietnam veteran. Jo Frances, daughter of the late Henry (Deko) and Anna Marie Dompa of Rayland, worked at United Bank in Bellaire. They are both happily retired and enjoy their free time.

They have three children: Stephanie (Chris) Hurley of Cary, North Carolina; Jamie (Stephen) Hancock of Martins Ferry; and Dan Lucas of Yorkville. They have been blessed with six grandchildren: Jordan and Colton Hurley, Josie and Julia Hancock and Colin and Breonna Lucas.

A dinner party was held June 17 at The Farm Restaurant in Adena with family and friends attending to celebrate their love.
