Judy and Henry Newhart of Martins Ferry celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Friday.

They were united in marriage Sept. 14, 1963, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Martins Ferry, with the Rev. Eldon W. Barell officiating.

Judy Newhart is the daughter of the late Betty and Frank Fleahman. She is a retired home health aide.

Henry Newhart is the son of the late Betty Sauers and Edward Newhart Jr. and is retired from Handley House.

They are the parents of two children. The family includes Mary Beth and her husband Andy Holt of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and Michael Newhart and his wife Ann of Glen Allen, Virginia. They have five grandchildren, Sean, Scott and Allison Newhart, and Mason and Elane Holt.
