On Nov. 23, 1968, Daniel W. Ellis and Bernadine Koci were united in marriage in a ceremony at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church officiated by Father Robert Krauter.

Daniel W. Ellis is the son of the late William E. Ellis and Nellie (Dugan) Ellis of Martins Ferry. Daniel is a retired steelworker from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co. Bernadine is the daughter of the late Rudolph A. Koci and Rose A. (Kubic) Koci. Bernadine is a retired nurse from East Ohio Regional Hospital.

Groomsmen at the ceremony were: James Clevenger, Samuel McKay, Robert Clevenger and Russell Eden.

Bridesmaids in attendance were: Ruth Ann Koci (Murray), Regina Kubic (Sikora), Rose Marie Frankovich (Mauck), Suzie Slavik (Douglas) and Patricia Kelly (Morrison).

The couple celebrated their 50th anniversary at home with a party given by their grandchildren Zoe, Sebastian, Sophie, Saddie and Savannah.
