Bill and Joyce (Poludniak) Sutak are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They exchanged their vows on Oct. 9, 1971, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Martins Ferry. Bill’s cousin, Father Bernard Krajovik, officiated the ceremony.

Joyce is the daughter of the late John and Josephine Poludniak of Colerain.

Joyce worked for 10 years at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel’s main office. She went on to be office manager for Ohio Valley Scale & Equipment Corporation in Wheeling where she worked for 29 years.

Bill is the son of the late Andrew and Margaret Sutak of Martins Ferry. Bill worked for Quarto Mining #7 for almost 10 years.

He worked for the Wheeling Park Commission as the grounds, lights and horticulture manager for about 25 years.

The couple enjoys traveling and spending time with their family and friends.

They are the parents of two daughters, Stacey (Don) Guthrie and Kristen (Nick) Arno, all of Colerain. They have four beautiful grandchildren, Tessa and Payton Guthrie, and Bryson and Bailey Arno.

The couple hopes to plan a trip to the Mediterranean in 2022.
