Mr. and Mrs. Mike Potts of Follansbee celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 24.

Potts and the former Mary Ann Dierkes were married on June 24, 1972, at Immaculate Conception Church in Wheeling by the Rev. Joseph Bell.

She is the daughter of the late George and Mildred Dierkes and is a retired registered radiographer at Trinity East Hospital.

He is the son of the late Robert and Jean Potts, an Air Force veteran and retired from Koppers Co.

They are the parents of four children: Michael (Jenny) and Bob (Anne Marie), both of Wheeling; Dave (Sarah) of Strongsville, Ohio; and Christina (deceased.)

They have five grandchildren.
