On Sept. 7, Richard and Cathleen Kidd of St. Clairsville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were united in marriage at First Presbyterian Church in Flushing by the late Rev. Larry Kline. Parents of the couple are Doyle Pickering and the late Charlotte Thrash Pickering of Flushing and the late Richard and Charlotte Klayko Kidd of Flushing.

Richard retired after 36 years in the coal mining industry and finished his career at Bailey Mine as the coordinator of career development.

Cathleen retired as a registered nurse from Zaleski Orthopedics in Wheeling.

They were blessed with twin daughters, Erin (Zech) David of St. Clairsville and Christine (Roy) Malone of St. Clairsville. They have four loving grandchildren: Sawyer Bonnett and Charlotte, Luke and Landon David.

The couple celebrated with a trip to Aruba and will continue their celebration with a family gathering.
