Andy and Patty McDougal

Andy and Patty McDougal of Trappe, Maryland, are celebrating 50 years of marriage.

They were married at the Clarington Church of Christ in Monroe County on Sunday, Aug., 17, 1975 in a small ceremony.

On Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025, they were honored in a celebration of their long marriage by family, friends and the members of the Chesapeake Church of Christ in Grasonville, Maryland, where they now attend.

They began their life together in Clarington, Ohio, for a few years before moving to Bethesda, Ohio. Their only son, Robert, was born in August 1982. In 1988, they moved to Trappe, Maryland, and have both retired there.

They have one 2-year-old grandson, Henri McDougal.
