St. Clairsville resident celebrates 100 years

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Lois A. Keller is a resident of Senior Suites St. Clair Commons who celebrated her 100th birthday on Father’s Day.

She was born June 16, 1924. Her parents, Charles and Katherine Griffiths, had five children – four daughters, including Keller and Katherine Moravick who are still living, and Norma Merritt and Gwen Carter and one son Maruice Griffiths, who have all died.

Lois was married to Stanton Keller in 1946. They had three sons: Charles and Thomas who are still living and Stanton who has died.

Lois Keller owned and operated Lois Ann’s Beauty Salon in St. Clairsville. She also was known for being one of the top sales realtor agents at Busack Realty.

Her hobbies included quilting and baking. She was an active member of Eastern Star and also the Philanthropic Educational Organization Sisterhood, or P.E.O., which provides scholarships and educational support for women.
