Gerald Ray and Darlene Ray of Martins Ferry announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachael Nichole Ray, to Brian Alan Sterling, son of Terry and Karen Sterling of Bethlehem.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Martins Ferry High School and a 2004 graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor of science degree in education. She is employed with Washington County (Ohio) Department of Job and Family Services as an adult protective service worker and child care eligibility specialist in Marietta.
Her fiance is a 1999 graduate of Wheeling Park High School and a 2005 graduate of West Liberty State College with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He is employed with Wal-Mart Corp. as an assistant store manager in Vienna, W.Va.
A Dec. 15 wedding is planned.
