Matt and Tisha Schunn of Martins Ferry announce the engagement of their daughter, Kara Lyn Schunn, to Zachary Edmund Shutler, son of Ed and Vicki Shutler of Martins Ferry.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of St. John Central High School, 2004 graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in social work and a 2007 graduate of Ohio University with a master's degree in social work. She is employed by Belmont County Department of Job and Family Services as a Medicaid case manager.
Her fiance is a 1998 graduate of St. John Central High School, a 2002 graduate of Mount Union College with a bachelor's degree in integrated social studies and a 2006 graduate of Franciscan University with a master's degree in academic administration. In 2007, he earned Ohio and West Virginia administrative licenses. He is employed by the Ohio County School District as an assistant principal at Triadelphia Middle School.
A June wedding is planned.
