Joe and Renee Bumgardner of Shadyside are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Renee Bumgardner to Paul Michael Eder, son of Fred Eder of Twinsburg, Ohio and the late Christine Eder.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of St. John Central High School and earned a bachelor's degree in biological sciences at Ohio University in 2004. She will be completing her doctorate of optometry degree from The Ohio State University in June.
Her fiance is a 1996 graduate of Twinsburg High School. He attended The Ohio State University and received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering in 2000 then went on to earn a master's degree in mechanical engineering in 2002. He is employed as a program manager by Altair Engineering.
A June 28 wedding is planned in Columbus.
