Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Scarnecchia of Shadyside announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Renee Scarnecchia to Seth Matthew Hoyng, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Michael Hoyng of Chesterville, Ohio.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Union Local High School and earned a bachelor of education and a bachelor in special education classes at West Liberty State College in 2005. She is employed as a a special education teacher at Highland Elementary School in Marengo. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kerwood of Romulus, Mich., formerly of Benwood and Mr. and Mrs. Reynyold Scarnecchia of Benwood.
Her fiance is a 2000 graduate of Highland High School in Columbus and received a bachelor's degree in business administration and a specialty in banking finance and computer information systems from West Liberty State College in 2005. He is employed at Chase Bank as a banker. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Drexler of Celina, Ohio and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hoyng of Coldwater, Ohio.
