William and Carol Owens of West Lafayette announce the engagement of their daughter, Christina Ashley to Joseph Robert Klier, son of Ronald and Marian Klier of Pleasant Grove.
The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Ridgewood High School and a 2006 graduate of Muskingum College with a bachelor of arts degree in early childhood education. She is a third grade teacher at Ridgewood Elementary School.
Her fiance is a 2003 graduate of Martins Ferry High School. He also graduated from Muskingum College where he obtained bachelor of arts degrees in both business and economics. He is a member of the Ohio National Guard and is currently attending Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee, Va.
An Aug. 2 wedding is planned in West Lafayette.
