Mr. and Mrs. John M. Solovan II of Belmont announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Christine, to Jeremy Edward Vittek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter L. Vittek of Tiltonsville.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of St. John Central High School and earned bachelor's degrees in mathematics and physics from Duquesne University in 2004. She also received a master's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006. She is currently employed as a process engineer for PPG Industries.
Her fiance is a 1998 graduate of Buckeye Local High School and a 2003 graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in middle childhood education. He received certification in special education from Wheeling Jesuit University in 2007 and is completing a master's degree in special education at West Virginia University. He is currently employed as a special education teacher for Harrison Hills City School District.
An Aug. 16 wedding is planned in Wheeling.
